Wanderlusting Awaaaaaay

Kumareng Grace... This post is for YOU! :)

Wanderlust :
very strong or irresistible impulse to travel
I looooooooooove going on trips and most of the time (well especially when I'm stuck in the office), I often wonder if I'm meant to be elsewhere but here. This also explains why my blog is named that way "I am littlemisswanderlust". I strongly believe that there's a lot to see and discover and the world is and will forever be my playground. That's why I'm determined as hell to travel travel travel. :) Which brings me to...

My 3 Favorite Places:

Despite all my travel dreams... when I'm asked of my favorite vacations spots, it amuses me that I still end up choosing these 3.

First stop: Our house in Nueva Ecija!

Sure, it's all palayans (ricefields) and carabaos... BUT this place is home for me. Every time I feel stressed, lonely, down and even happy, I go home here. The phrase "there's no place like home" really suits me big time. And besides, it's always fiesta time everytime we go home. Ask my friends... :P Mama really cooks up or readies a feast!

Second stop: Baguio!

I have been going to Baguio around 5 times a year since I was a kid and I have to say that there's still a lot to see in Baguio. It's just sad that the city gets more and more polluted each year. People may find it weird when I say that my family prefer pools over beaches, cold weather over sunny ones, that's why Baguio is the default summer getaway place to go to for us. Maybe it's extra special too for me because most of our quick family tours were spent here. Lots and lots of memories were made in Baguio. ♥

Third Stop: HongKong (& Macau)!

My shopping haven! Should I elaborate more?!?!? Oh yes, for Macau, the foooooood! The Egg Tart. Enough said. =P

As for the other places I dream of going to. Hmmmmmm...

Paris! (no need to explain why.. it's every girl's dream destination)
Japan! (overwhelm me with technology please)
Bantayan Island! (a taste of paradise)
Oman! (I grew up here, it would be neat to be able to go back for a vacation)
Korea! (They say it's a pretty pretty place)
China! (I shall conquer the Great wall!)
Chicago! (I want to visit my sister)

This list will never end so I guess it's best to stop listing NOW. ;D

CARPE DIEM!
I'm out.

Ba-Bye Ate

Today was quite a sad day for our family. For a very close-knit family, goodbyes are really extra difficult to say . Especially if the one leaving will be miles and seas away. My Ate (with her husband) left this morning for the US. They'll be starting their new life there. She already has work so I don't need to worry about that anyway, and I'm sure that she'll definitely do well. My parents were really sad... maybe it's the thought of being "away" from her. Tipong you have to hop on a plane pa just to be able to get to her. The whole family has US visa naman , we can go there anytime (as long as we have the money I guess :p) Yes, I cried a lot as well... and I guess it's because of all the bilins I got from her. The one that stuck the most " Ikaw na bahala dito ha.. Alagaan mo sila Mama and Papa. Si Ivan ha... Wag mo silang pabayaan. " My nephew on the other hand was a different story... he was eager to go home already when we got to NAIA.

Chuper Excited!

2 weeks to go.. then I'll be painting HongKong and Macau red with my Sanity Keepers... Any suggestions on where to go to? Beside from the usual night market, HK Disneyland and Ocean Park. Any cheap foodtrip areas? Plus, it's Arvic's first time in HongKong too. So I'm extra excited for him too. Let the countdown begin!I am sooooo excited already! :) My bday's coming up in more or less 2 weeks also. Yey! Turning 25 and excited about it! :D Planning to spend the weekend before my actual bday with the whole family somewhere. Let's see... :) ======= Yesterday, had a massage at TonTon's again. I loved it! Just what I needed. I love that place.. Not too crowded. And not too expensive too! :) ======= Work starts again tomorrow. Oh well.... positive side? At least I'll have enough moolah to enjoy HongKong. Thank you work! :P CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Shoot that Target

With all the recent carnapping and non-stop news reports about different types of crimes happening left and right, it's really starting to get scary to live here. But don't get me wrong, I still love Pinas. But we all really should start doing something about this. Be vigilant people. Be alert. Keep safe. With that thought (being alert etc etc) I remember a recent bonding activity I had with my brother and Papa over the holidays. I have a feeling what we did is a pretty unique activity to do on Christmas morning. Guess what we did??? Target shooting! My Papa is a gun-club member for the last 2-3 years, I even had been attending several gunshows for the past years with him. He's an officer of the gunclub of our town in N. Ecija. He's in the process of putting up his own target-shooting range at the back of our house. And that's where we were this past Christmas morning. On our way to the back part of the house. Unfinished target-shooting spot... The bul
