On a Natural High

I've been to a lot of places already.. but these two places really were something.. put me on a natural high. :) Mt. Data Hotel. It is situated in Sinto, Bauko, Mt. Province at an elevation of 7200 ft. above sea level. So naturally, it was breezy and cool. Pine trees and blossoming flowers surround the area and you'll also see terraces slopes planted with vegetables. What this hotel offers is seclusion, calmness, and fresh mountain air. Definitely a nice getaway spot. :) We didn't stay there though, we just passed-by on our way home because an Aunt of mine actually manages it. :) Another 'high' point of our trip home was that I finally was able to take pics on the highest point of the Philippine Highway System. Elevation - 7400 ft. above sea level. Higher higher higher... :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Last Song Syndrome

Oh yes.. it's an LSS (Last Song Syndrome) day today. And this quote described it oh-so-well... Because a song can take you back instantly to a moment, a place, or even a person. No matter what else has changed in you or the world, that one song stays the same, just like that moment. Which is pretty amazing, when you actually think about it. -Sarah Dessen Love it! What's my LSS? THE LAST TIME by Eric Benet The first time I fell in love was long ago. I didn't know how to give my love at all. The next time I settled for what felt so close. But without romance, you're never gonna fall. After everything I've learned; Now it's finally my turn. This is the last time I'll fall... in love. The first time we walked under that starry sky, there was a moment when everything was clear. I didn't need to ask or even wonder why, because each question is answered when your near. and I'm wise enough to know when a miracle unfolds, this is the last time i'll fall

The Bontoc Museum

I've been going home to Bontoc, Mountain Province for years already and most of the time we go there during Holy Week. I've always wanted to visit the Bontoc Museum but I end up not visiting it again and again because they're closed during Holy Week. So imagine my amazement and (hidden) excitement when I FINALLY got the chance to visit it. Arvic was with me too so it made it extra fun of course. Another first for both of us. :) Yay! Welcome to.... The Bontoc Musuem! Entrance fee costs P50.00 only. The musuem has two parts.. the inside musuem and the outside one. Picture taking in the 'inside museum' is not allowed. There you'll be taken back in time with glimpses of the early days of the tribes from Sagada, Ifugao and Bontoc. :) Yes.. there are even pictures of the headhunting days. There are lots of photos of the tribes before and after the colonization. Really interesting. :) So off we go to the outside musuem. Here, there are actual Nipa huts wherein you can

Love Love Love

I feel love love loved. :) I've been with my Dear for 20 months already and still counting... And I still feel the same whenever I'm with him (and even without him.) The feeling lingers and I'm loving it. :) And so I leave you with this really inspiring piece. It got me through singlehood... =P THE ART OF WAITING Why Wait? Because although we want to be decisive, we do not want to be impulsive. Although we want to be swift, we do not want to be hasty. Although we want to hold on to the one we love, we do not want to lose ourselves in the process. If we want to run, we must first learn to walk. If we want to swim, we must first learn to float. If we want to make love, we must first learn to love. In the end, it is still best to wait for the one we want rather than settle for the one that is available. It is still best to wait for the one you love rather than settle for the one who is around. It is still best to wait for the right person. Because life is too short to waste on

EARTH DAY

Because it's Earth Day, Starbucks has a promo.. :) Starting 5am of April 22, 2009 up to 12 midnight of April 23, 2009, all Starbucks branches will take P40 off your drink if you bring your own tumbler. And the good thing about it is that it doesn't necessarily need to be a Starbucks mug or tumbler. Pretty neat! So coffee lovers and earth-lovers unite! :) I'm off to wash my mug and tumbler... HAPPY EARTH DAY EVERYONE! photo is from here . Thanks! CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

All I wanna do today is....

... SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP It doesn't feel like it's summer already for the past days. I'm love love loving the weather. Too bad I had to go to work. Oh well... I shall catch up on sleep later. Quote for the day: I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing. --Agatha Christie I'm loving life.. maybe that's why it is loving me back too. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

To The Mountains :)

Holy Week - Bontoc, Mountain Province The very first day of our Holy Week trip with the family was spent in Barrio Mainit. It's located a few kilometers north of Bontoc. Here, there are supposedly about a hundred of spurting thermal springs all over the area. They say that there is a "mother" hot spring in this region that's so hot that it can instantly "burn" things plunged into it. My mom and siblings got the chance to hike up to this area and they told me that they literally saw bubbling waterholes. There are several not-so-hot springs also found in that area and a number of them became sources of bathings pools in the area. And we got the chance to enjoy an overnight stay in one of those resorts. :) Hellooooo Nature! :) The place (I forgot the actual resort name..) was a sight to see. It was sandwiched between mountains which made the weather really cool. Just perfect for the hot water in the pools. :) Plus, we spent the night in really cool huts. The i

Bora Bora!

Day 3 of our Bora trip and we have been doing nothing but swim, sleep and eat. Friday will be reserved for all the activities - water activities, ATV (maybe..), and a little partying at night (maybe also...) Allow me to say that THIS. IS. THE. LIFE. :) Loving it! Pics to follow... Now allow me to enjoy the sun more. Hello kaitiman! :P CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

With views like these..... I'm one proud Igorot. :) I'm glad I can go home to this place for a few days each year. Stories and more pics to follow. :) Now I need to catch-up on work first. CARPE DIEM! I'm out.
