Our 2nd :)

Up to the very day before our actual Anniversary we had no concrete plans of where to eat and celebrate. Our Lolo Dad's dinner didn't push through because I had to work late that Friday, then it was my highschool friend's (Cookie!) surprise birthday party the following night. So dinner plans were moved to Sunday and Lolo Dad's is closed during Sundays. So we had to make new plans.. quickly. :) Then I remembered that I wanted to try Bellini's way way before. And this might just be the perfect chance to do so. Bellini's is considered an authentic Italian resto because it is run by Roberto Bellini. A former Italian paparazzi. In the walls of the place you'll definitely see a number of Mr. Roberto's shots. Mr. Roberto married a Filipina and they opted to open a restaurant here years after. And the rest is history. :) Bellini's is located inside the Marikina Shoe Expo in Cubao. A very unusual place in my opinion to open up a restaurant, especially an Ital

The Old Fashion Way

Now, it's really rare to find people exchanging written notes of hi-hello. Even quotes from books are being forwarded through text already. Blogs have more or less been a replacement for written diaries as well... I love writing. I miss writing. My penmanship's getting uglier by the day. So what's this all about? Well I just feel really lucky that I have a boyfriend who still believes that it's sweet to shower people with cards and written notes. :) I got 3 from him again on our Anniversary!!! I'll be adding this to the other cards I got from him from previous celebrations. :) I must remind myself to buy a box for the cards so I can keep them in good shape for future reminiscing. ^__^ I love love love it! :) And yes, the Ipod too. :) Annie is the newest member of our gadget-y family. Haha! Thank you Dear! CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

TWO :)

2 years ago, our relationship was sealed with a high-five. ( Yes, we're unique like that ) =P And up to this day, I remember every little detail eventhough sometimes Arvic thinks I don't. :P It has been a blissful 2 years and I really enjoy every moment. Sabe nga nila, we're inseparable and we really don't mind. Halu Dear, You still continue to amaze and amuse me. You continue to keep me smiling and laughing over silly things. Thank you for keeping me sane and for elevating me to cloud nine every single day. Cheesy? :P With the rate we're going, there's no other way to go but up. :) I LOVE YOU!!! :) *Cheers* Here's to more years of laughter and togetherness. :)

Dumdeedum

We're turning 2 in 3 days. And I still don't know what to give him. =\ I guess every relationship goes through this? You reach a point where you ran out of gift ideas. And now I'm leaning more on practical gifts instead of cheesy ones. But I still want to be cheeeeeesy. Haha! Shoot me. I still have 2-3 days to think about it. Hmmmmm...

My favorite meal of the day

... is breakfast! :) It sets the mood of my day. But lately I've been skipping breakfast because the call of my bed is stronger. =\ This is one of the reasons why I really don't like being on midshift. It changes my eating habits. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to wake up early and start the day/week right. Headed to work earlier than usual then had breakfast (well more or less brunch already) with Arvic at Hexagon. I was craving for pancakes and he was craving for some Eggs Benedict. What I like about the place is the ambiance. It gives you just the right setup to have a break from work. Plus, it has free WiFi too. The pasta dishes are great for lunch too. Hexagon 4th floor, RCBC Plaza CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Liway, our new baby Maltese

The latest addition to our growing family. :) Meet Liway.. named after my grandmother Liwayway because they share the same birthday. :) There are still talks of changing her name to Yawyaw just so it'll be "updated". She's a 3-week old Maltese puppy (the pic was taken when she was just 2 weeks old). She does nothing but eat and sleep. She's soooooo cute! It's nice how a dog's maternal instinct automatically kicks in after giving birth, Peachy (Liway's mom) really knew what to do right away. What a sight to see. :) We'll take good care of you puppy.. Welcome to the world :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

My 4th Favorite Dad :)

Of course my own Papa's number 1 on my list. Then my Dada (Mama's Dad), and my Lolo (Papa's Dad). Then the 4th one is...... My Roger! :) He's now a proud father of twin girls. Such a cute family. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Hello Dream

Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dream. - Paulo Coehlo Hello Dream, I shall chase you now because my heart says so. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

What a sight.. .What a life. Goodbye Madame.

I had work today and was dreading the heavy traffic I was about to go into when I left the house. I got a cab (it was coding day for the car) and prayed that it won't be a long ride. On my way to Makati I passed by EDSA. It was around 1030am and people were getting ready to pay their respects for Cory. Banners here and there.. a sea of people in yellow were starting to form already. I was disappointed that I forgot to bring Rhino (my camera) today... Tsktsk. What a sight to see. While I was at the cab, the driver started a conversation. It went.... Manong Driver: " Grabe no, ganyan kamahal ng tao si Cory. Parang yung kay Ninoy din nung 1983 no? Naalala mo pa ba? Me: "Ay Manong, wala pa po ako nun e." Manong Driver: "Ay sobrang bata ka pa pala... dapat eto hindi mo mamiss. Nakakapangilabot no?" Me: "Oo nga po e.." And that did it for me.. I decided there and then that I must be part of this. So when I got to RCBC, I logged in, then went down with A

Old Vine

It has been ages since I last visited Eastwood City. The recent makeup session we had gave me a chance to go there and boy was I surprised at how the place has changed. Too many buildings already... This isn't the way I remembered it to be. Anyway, because of that we got the chance to have lunch at Old Vine. I was told that the place was owned by Tessie Tomas. So maybe that explains why there's a salad named after her. I was also told that it has similar dishes as Duo. So I excitedly checked out their menu. I can say that we were happy with the soup, bread, and our main courses. Too bad I don't remember each dish name. (Kai, Eliza, Anne.. help?) I give two thumbs up to the The Garlic Steak and Filet Mignon Arvic and I ordered. Plus, I loved the ambiance! :) I will be back to try out the Pasta dishes. Plus, there's a lot more to try out and visit at Eastwood city and the new mall. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.
