I miss New York! I have no idea when I'll be able to go back there but I'm hoping it'll be soon. We have been all over the US and bits of Canada from late October to mid November. It was a blast! I believe you learn more about your partner in times like this. Like how he interacts with strangers, how he enjoys new things and how he is amazed when it's his first time in certain places. My guy is loads of fun to be with. He's my ultimate travel buddy. :) I'm lucky to have someone who's not afraid to get lost with me in strange places and who's always game to get crazy and have fun. I love "Old Love". The kind of love that old couples share. It's unpretentious, good silly and it warms my heart. I love seeing old couples walking in the mall with holding hands like there's noone else around. The simple acts of love they share like holding the newspaper while the other reads, or handing over tissue or handkerchiefs to one another while they eat. I wish and hope I grow old and experience the same kind of love with Arvic of course! :) Today is my parents' Wedding Anniversary. My papa calls it "Mama's victory day". It's because she won him daw. We have been frequent diners (and drinkers?) at Barcino ever since they opened up at Greenbelt. We initially go there for the wine... But lately we're loving the food as well. Cordon Bleu Bread Platter Paella Negra The bread was ordinary though, we were expecting different kinds of bread in a "bread platter", I wonder what happened... The Paella Negra is a must try. And the Chicken Cordon Bleu was yummy as well. One main concern I have regarding Barcino though is that it was not just once but twice already wherein we were ordering for red wine priced at around P500 - P800, then we were told that that particular brand was not available so they offered a different brand, we asked if it's in the same price range of the one we were ordering earlier and we were given a nod (which means yes right???) then when we got our bill we were REALLY surprised to find out that the wine we had was in the P1000-P1300 range. When we confronted the waiter about it, he told us that he did...

We just celebrated our 32nd month of togetherness last week. Just a few more months then we'll be in our 3rd year already. How time flies... Looking back at all the pictures we have, I still feel giddy everytime I'm with him. And what's even more amazing is that the fun just never stops ;D Love love love! :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Over the weekend I had dinner with the Graus (Arvic's family) because it was his Dad's birthday. Dinner was at Rastro along Burgos Circle. It was our first time to have dinner in that place and I really liked the ambiance and feel of that place. Off to the food... Because it was our first time to try the place out, we asked for the food recommendation from the waiter and went for it. Calamares Frito P180.00 Squid rings, dipped in batter, deep fried to a crisp This was really really good. Crispy but not rubbery. The added lemon pinch was a feast for our tastebuds. Oyster Pancetta P240.00 Baked oyster with bacon and Parmesan toppings Really fresh! (according to Nana and Tita), I'm not an expert on oysters, but if they liked it then it must have been really good. Salpicao P250.00 Beef tenderloin sauteed in garlic and olive oil Loved this! Oh yes yes... Lamb is all you need :P Especially if the dish was as good as the one we ate when we had dinner at Cav Wine Shop - Cafe. Crispy Lamb Belly with Malagos Cheese Ginnochi. Vadouvan Vegetables. Herbed Jus It was delicious! 5 stars.. two thumbs up! ;) Pair it up with the perfect wine from their selection as well. We had our Heart's Day dinner at Cav. We signed-up for their set menu for Vday that costs P1600/person. Not bad at all. It was a complete meal. Free bread I love the bread because it was warm and soft. :) Free Appetizer : Shrimp and Broccoli soup Courtesy of the Chef. :) It was delicious, I'll definitely order this next time. Veal Capaccio This was my ordered appetizer, the middle part was yellow-fin tuna. Yumyum! The sauce was great, went well with the veal and the tuna. :) Smoked Salmon Arvic's appetizer, he liked it as well. The salmon was fresh and the sauce was great. I was browsing through pics of our Vday dinner over the weekend, and I just kept on going back to this one... Awwwwwwww...
