We were at... MyThai

One fine weekend, we decided that we wanted to go to a non-crowded mall to have dinner and have coffee. The first thing that came to mind was either Podium or Shangrila Mall, but then we couldn't think of a specific restaurant to go to. So we decided to go to Eastwood City and agreed that we'll randomly select the restaurant once we get there. We ended up having dinner at.... Why this place? We already miss eating Thai Food because the only one we really go to for authentic and affordable Thai food is Soms and the place is still under renovation. MyThai was an obvious choice. Off to the food... We decided to order the same selection we usually order from Soms and got to compare the dishes. First stop was the Tom Yum soup. We were both allergic to shrimp and it's quite disappointing that MyThai doesn't offer the option of choosing chicken over shrimp (unlike Soms). We still wanted to taste their Tom Yum soup version so we still went ahead and ordered it. Good thing, I al

Where are we?

Hopeful Thought

Hope is a driving factor in helping us stay on course in life, it may feel as though it comes and goes, but in reality there is always hope, there is always a chance for something else to happen, and you need to have faith that it will. Okay... Thank you Papa God for the reminder. :) Positive thoughts mode.. ON! :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

One of our Default Resto

What's your default resto? :) What's a 'default resto' you may ask. Well, for me, it's the one you end up going to when you have no particular place in mind to eat. You just instantly find yourself going to that place without even noticing it. You go back to it either because you love the food, you like the ambiance, or the food price is reasonable. ;D Well, for me, it's RECIPES. The usual orders would be: General's Chicken (P175.00) - Just the right amount of sweetness and crispiness. and Gising Gising (P135.00) - A spicy veggie dish I can tolerate. Sometimes we make this an alternative to our rice. Weird? ;P Occasionally, we add 1 more dish to our list. The last time we went there, it was their Crispy Pork Binagoongan (P165.00) - It's fried liempo ala binagoongan . The bagoong is not that salty. I highly recommend their Crispy Tilapia too. They added a few Bangus dishes on their menu as well, give it a try and let me know if they are all delicious as

Here Fishy Fishy Fishy

We were strolling along Eastwood Mall yesterday when we chanced upon a contest/exhibit held and sponsored by P.A.L.H.S. (Philippine Arowana and Luo Han Society). PALHS is a non-profit organization that's dedicated in informing people about the challenge and satisfaction of keeping and taking care of Arowana, Lou Han (also called FlowerHorn) and other freshwater and marine fishes. It was refreshing and fun to see all those colorful fishes. Indeed, the winners were winners for obvious reasons, their size, color and yes, even friendliness. There was this one fish that just kept on following people's fingers/hands.. Look! He even posed for the camera. How charming! Now, here's the rest of the pics. Enjoy! Fishface... CARPE DIEM! @ Felix

I was looking through old pics and I remember that I had dinner sometime early this year (or was it last year already?) at Felix, GB5 with the sanity keepers . I wonder why I never got to write about it. It's either the food wasn't really that good, or maybe I just enjoyed the company a lot that I forgot all about the food. Anyway, here's the late post. The place is really cozy. Ambiance is nice. The company was great as always... I must schedule another visit to this place to (re)try the food. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

My Match

I can honestly say that I have found my match especially when it comes to my silly side. Us, while hungrily waiting for our lunch... Spending time with Arvic will never be boring. <3

Animo...

Yes, I honestly miss the campus already. I think it has been 2 years since I last went back. I miss the foooooood most especially. The Agno food! Taco Salad, Shawarma Rice, Siomai rice and whole lot more. I shall be back sometime soon. Who's game? :P CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

The View @ CPK

As mentioned in my previous post, I really liked the smoking area view of CPK (and I guess Chilli's as well because they're just next to each other). Maybe this is one of the reasons too why both restaurants seem to be always full. Greeeeeeeeeen! That color is really soothing to the eyes. :) Hope you liked the pics. CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

CPK

It's been a year or so since our last CPK lunch/dinner. I wonder why it took us that long to go back. Maybe because we were really on uber-stingy mode since the start of this year. California Pizza Kitchen opened up another branch on Greenbelt 5 which is a very good choice because it's really accessible to weekend shoppers. Plus, the smoking area view is really nice as well, I'll post pics on another entry. Let's go to the food first. Our orders: Mediterranean Salad (P355) with Add-on Grilled Rosemary Chicken Breast (P175) Nice clean crispy veggies. I like the added chicken breast as well, it adds a little more flavor to the salad. You can ask for additional bbq sauce for the chicken as well. Four Cheese Pizza (P525) Really yummy. Surprisingly, we all liked this one. We were supposed to order the Five-Cheese pizza but mistakenly ordered this instead. We were not disapppointed at all. We also ordered Fettuccine with Garlic Cream Sauce (P365) with add-on Sau
