Random Thoughts

"People are like stained glass windows... They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within" Someone told me I look extra pretty today. :) Funny thing is.. I think I look exactly the same yesterday (with different set of clothes of course :P). So I tried to think real hard of what the difference could have been. I lacked more sleep today compared to yesterday. And I have more girly clothes yesterday too. Hmmmmm... Then I realized that yesterday, I was in a semi-lousy mood. Today, I woke up with a smile. So I guess it is indeed true that a little positivity goes a long way. Spread the love. Spread the smiles. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Make-Up 101

A friend of mine (Hi Anne!) had an interesting idea to sign-up for some make-up 101 class one day. And a number of us immediately said yes! Personally, I really am not so into make-up and really fixing-up daily, too much effort! But then again, I think it's time to learn some make-up tricks. It'll come in handy soon maybe? Who knows... so off to Eastwood City we went. It turned out to be a really interesting and fun afternoon of girl bonding, color blending and laughs. :) Start-up Brushes Our "Tools" :) We were given a number of tips and demos. Anne was the first model because she arrived earliest. :) We were jotting down notes like we were in college class. We even had printed slides! Haha! :D Us in action.... Thank you Suzanne for being so patient with us. Plus, we all loved the Suesh brushes. :) Lessons learned: -Blend blend blend -Brush brush brush -Have fun fun fun. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

It's our 100th.. and our 23rd too :D

100 weeks of togetherness. 23 months of fun-filled moments. We should have been celebrating this together today but I went home early because I felt really sick and he got stomped with work. Oh well.... Anyway... Some things are meant to happen. Some things are bound to be. Love has a way of making doubting hearts believe. Sometimes in spite of difference, sometimes against all odds, some things are meant to happen. It's written in the stars Yiheeeeeee... meant to be! :P Hahaha! To my partner in crime and in everything else.... Hap-Hap-Happy Day! :) Love you! CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

My Space

When things get awfully tiring.. Seek for silence. Most of the time, the loudest lessons are found --- At the most quiet corners of our lives. My special space would be somewhere quiet. A spa room maybe? Initially, I decided to post TonTon's logo or maybe some other spa's logo but then I realize, they're not entirely just "my" space. Then I remembered a place wherein I've been running to since I started working. I have been part of 2 companies already and both are from RCBC. During up or down times, during stressful and happy days, I tend to end-up at the RCBC chapel. I just sit there and talk to Him. Sometimes I just sit there and listen to Him talk to me. During those days wherein I felt really betrayed by certain evil people (=p), that place kept me calm and protected. The good thing about that chapel too is that I wasn't aware that my future significant other spent time there too. Arvic frequents that chapel also. And I just knew about it when we start...

Meet my Jacob :)

Over the weekend... we bought 3 notebooks. Yes 3. So I'm pretty sure the store/s we went to were very very very happy. Hahaha! =p Ladies and gentleman, allow me to introduce my Jacob. Yes.. I was planning on getting the pink or purple one, but then I didn't want white keyboards. I can just imagine it turning dirty white in just a week or so and I don't really like dirty white. =p He's so tiny, handy and sexy.. me likey! :D Arvic and my brother both got the black one. I'm pretty sure we'll be spending lots of time together and I'll be online most of the time too. So hellllllllo blog entries! :D Hahaha! I'll post actual pics of them (mine & Arvic's) once they "bond" sometime soon. :D I'm still giddy giddy giddy with the purchase I made... ^_____^ CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Death by Dessert

I am trying to fast from sweets lately as I am afraid of ending up having Diabetes. Plus, it's a good way to cut down calorie intake. :) So I was trying to think back to all the sweets I devoured for the past weeks/months or so.. and here they are. Choco Lava Cake at Chilli's... Cupcakes by Sonja's Lava Cake at Aresi... Banoffee Cake at Banapple... La Pinay Crepe with Ice Cream at Cafe Breton... Yes... this is how I cope with sweet cravings. I torture myself with pictures. Hahahah! Did I torture you too? =P Have a great weekend everyone! CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Thought for the Day/Week

We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments. But great moments often catch us unaware -- beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

The Wang-Wang Syndrome

Pic is from HERE . Thanks! I was on my way to work on this rainy rainy Thursday and was anticipating the heavy traffic along EDSA already. So I went inside the car prepared... I have my fully charged cellphone on full blast playing songs from the phone's radio (Troopie's radio is busted). I was trying real hard not to be affected by the traffic+rain combo and just be cool and calm about it then.... "WANG... WANG... WAAAAAANG". Three cars with red plate numbers are trying to get ahead of everybody. My initial thought was " Where the hell do you think you're going? Everyone's stucked... Might as well just 'go with the flow' ". But noOoOooOo.. seems like they were really on a hurry. When 1 of the cars passed by, I tried to look at who's in it. Tadaaaaa.. just the driver. Then the 2nd car passed.... Tadaaaaaa.. just a driver and a bodyguard maybe. Then the 3rd car passed... it was darkly tinted so I wasn't able to look at the passenger. ...

I wish that you could be.. DREAMwalking along with me :)

Dream Quote: You see things; and you say, "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?" - George Bernard Shaw "What's your dream?". Me? When I was younger, it was my ultimate dream to become a doctor. I play dress-up and try to cure my barbie dolls and teddy bears. Then when I grew up a little more, I wanted to be a nun. Oh yes, you read that right. A nun. I wanted to be the one who'll grow old taking care of my parents and serve papa God also. Come to think of it.. I think I would have been the most playful and noisiest nun ever. Funny funny thought. =p Then.. highschool came and college life came and I just dreamt of graduating on time and landing a decent job. Now here I am, now part of the working class and I still dream of being somewhere else but here at times. Haha!... I dream of settling down and having a family of my own too of course. Nothing beats having a great great family to share your dreams with too. I know, coz I...

Triple A

I was looking at old pics and I couldn't help but utter "Awwwww.. how cute!" when I saw these pics. Andy and Angel Angel and Arvic Angel really knows how to pose don't you agree? I miss the small doggies already.. They're all in our family house at N.E.. I shall visit them soon hopefully. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Chasing Pavements

I love love love this song lately. Looked for the video and loved it even more. Really unique. :) I've made up my mind, No need to think it over, If i'm wrong I aint right, No need to look no further, This ain't lust, This is love but, If i tell the world, I'll never say enough, Cause it was not said to you, And thats exactly what i need to do, If i'm in love with you, Should i give up, Or should i just keep chasing pavements? Even if it leads nowhere, Or would it be a waste? Even If i knew my place should i leave it there? Should i give up, Or should i just keep chasing pavements? Even if it leads nowhere I'd build myself up, And fly around in circles, Wait then as my heart drops, and my back begins to tingle finally could this be it Should i give up, Or should i just keep chasing pavements? Even if it leads nowhere, Or would it be a waste? Even If i knew my place should i leave it there? Should i give up, Or should i just keep...

If only money wasn't an issue...

...I'll be back in HK for some foodtripping, a lot of shopping and more picture-taking... as in NOW! =p I miss miss miss the place already. The malls, the food (yes, even the fastfood), the feel of being on vacation.... I shall plan for my next (budget) trip ASAP. The temptation of wanderlust is way too strong again. CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Banapple

Banapple.. a nice place which offers good pasta, delicious ribs, and a variety of super delish cakes. :D The place is a bit small and is jam-packed during weekends so you better go there earlier if you want to have seats. Serving's great, a single order can be shared by 2 persons. The branch we visited was at Il Terrazo Mall, Tomas Morato. I think they have another branch along Katipunan also. CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

My Sister's Wedding

It was THE day she has been waiting for. :) After all the chaotic planning, stressful decision-making, and tearful speeches.. Finally, they're husband and wife. 11 years of togetherness, one wonderful son, and a lifetime of dreams to fulfill ahead. Most of the pics were copied from here ! Thanks! Highlights of the day: -My Papa's heartfelt speech, I actually cried. :P -My Ate saying "Whenever we attended weddings, ayaw namen pag boring, so we really wanted this event not to be boring", so that explains why there were many games. The guests were 'game' as well. :P -The food was prepared by the groom himself (and his chef friends), they were delish! I remember hearing several guests asking who the caterer was. Naaaaaks! *Kudos* to the Chef! -Andy (my nephew) covering his ears when the band (together with his dad, yes.. he also was part of a band before ) started playing then he shouted " Ang ingay, hungry na akoooo!" It was a fun fun fun day. Definite...
