Marciano's

Finally was able to try Marciano's at GB3 with friends last week.

Ambiance was pretty dark. But it definitely sets a calming mood. A long table was set for us beside the bar. It was easy to call on the attention of the waiters/waitresses, but it was a little bothersome to have them pass our table(from the kitchen) almost every 5 minutes.

We scanned their menu, and I must admit that the name of the dishes were amusing. Most of the dishes were named after famous 'stars' (sports, hollywood, etc).

For starters, we had the following soup:
-Robert de Niro Bacon & Asparagus Creme, Wild Over Wallstreet, Smoked Salmon & Dill.

The way the soup was served was nice.. The soup was tasty. I liked it at first, but after several spoonfuls, I wasn't that fond of it already. I dunno why. :P But the serving was big. I was soooo full after already. I should have shared 1 order with Arvic.

Then came the free appetizer. I wonder why it wasn't served before the soup..

The Sausage and Cheese Platter came next. I'm not really a fan of this one... but the caramelized almonds I liked! :)
Then came the pasta and the pizza...

I think one of those pizza is the Quattro Formaggio. Forgot what the other one was though. And because everyone was excited about the pasta, I wasn't able to take a decent pic of them. We did like all the pasta dishes. The
Joey's Tribbiani's Mac and Cheese, Tony Soprano's Seafood and Pesto and Woody's Wild Mushroom Linguini was a hit! We shall order them again next time. :)

Belle
told me that their servings and the taste of the pasta improved compared to the last time they went there to have dinner. So I guess that's 3 snaps for this place for continuing to improve their quality.. :)

CARPE DIEM!
I'm out.

Ba-Bye Ate

Today was quite a sad day for our family. For a very close-knit family, goodbyes are really extra difficult to say . Especially if the one leaving will be miles and seas away. My Ate (with her husband) left this morning for the US. They'll be starting their new life there. She already has work so I don't need to worry about that anyway, and I'm sure that she'll definitely do well. My parents were really sad... maybe it's the thought of being "away" from her. Tipong you have to hop on a plane pa just to be able to get to her. The whole family has US visa naman , we can go there anytime (as long as we have the money I guess :p) Yes, I cried a lot as well... and I guess it's because of all the bilins I got from her. The one that stuck the most " Ikaw na bahala dito ha.. Alagaan mo sila Mama and Papa. Si Ivan ha... Wag mo silang pabayaan. " My nephew on the other hand was a different story... he was eager to go home already when we got to NAIA.

Chuper Excited!

2 weeks to go.. then I'll be painting HongKong and Macau red with my Sanity Keepers... Any suggestions on where to go to? Beside from the usual night market, HK Disneyland and Ocean Park. Any cheap foodtrip areas? Plus, it's Arvic's first time in HongKong too. So I'm extra excited for him too. Let the countdown begin!I am sooooo excited already! :) My bday's coming up in more or less 2 weeks also. Yey! Turning 25 and excited about it! :D Planning to spend the weekend before my actual bday with the whole family somewhere. Let's see... :) ======= Yesterday, had a massage at TonTon's again. I loved it! Just what I needed. I love that place.. Not too crowded. And not too expensive too! :) ======= Work starts again tomorrow. Oh well.... positive side? At least I'll have enough moolah to enjoy HongKong. Thank you work! :P CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Shoot that Target

With all the recent carnapping and non-stop news reports about different types of crimes happening left and right, it's really starting to get scary to live here. But don't get me wrong, I still love Pinas. But we all really should start doing something about this. Be vigilant people. Be alert. Keep safe. With that thought (being alert etc etc) I remember a recent bonding activity I had with my brother and Papa over the holidays. I have a feeling what we did is a pretty unique activity to do on Christmas morning. Guess what we did??? Target shooting! My Papa is a gun-club member for the last 2-3 years, I even had been attending several gunshows for the past years with him. He's an officer of the gunclub of our town in N. Ecija. He's in the process of putting up his own target-shooting range at the back of our house. And that's where we were this past Christmas morning. On our way to the back part of the house. Unfinished target-shooting spot... The bul
