Last Song Syndrome

Oh yes.. it's an LSS (Last Song Syndrome) day today.

And this quote described it oh-so-well...

Because a song can take you back instantly to a moment, a place, or even a person. No matter what else has changed in you or the world, that one song stays the same, just like that moment. Which is pretty amazing, when you actually think about it. -Sarah Dessen

Love it!

What's my LSS? THE LAST TIME by Eric Benet

The first time I fell in love was long ago.
I didn't know how to give my love at all.
The next time I settled for what felt so close.
But without romance, you're never gonna fall.
After everything I've learned;
Now it's finally my turn.
This is the last time I'll fall... in love.
The first time we walked under that starry sky,
there was a moment when everything was clear.
I didn't need to ask or even wonder why, because each question is answered when your near.
and I'm wise enough to know when a miracle unfolds, this is the last time i'll fall in love.
Now don't hold back, just let me know.
Could i be moving much too fast or way too slow.
'Cause all of my life, I've waited for this day.
To find that once in a lifetime, this is it, I'll never be the same.
You'll never know what it's taken me to say these words.
And now that I've said them, they could never be enough.
As far as I can see, there's only you and only me.

This is the last time I'll fall in love.
Last time i'll fall in love.
The last time i'll fall... in love.

Awwww.. mush! I love Richard Poon's version too.

Spread the love. :)

i hate it how my LSSs always seem to be songs i hate...you know, the type of songs that get you irritated. then after a while you get more irritated because you discover that you're actually humming the melody and can't get it out of your head. that happened to me with aring-king-king or whatever that song was. gah!

Mother's Day 2017

This time last year, I was celebrating this special day for mothers with our little munchkin still inside my tummy.  I felt I had the right to co-celebrate with all amazing moms (and dad-moms, lolo/lola-moms, sibling-moms etc) of the world because technically I'm a mom already. Little did I know that being a mom is far from what I imagined it to be. Spoiler: IT'S WAY BETTER! :)
After giving birth, I was exhausted. Happy, relieved, and just plain exhausted. It was a grueling almost 24 hours of "labor". I was brought to the hospital around 6AM on the 27th, hoping that I will give birth a couple of hours later so I was pretty sure our little boy's birthday will be July 27. It took me a whole day of waiting, monitoring, cm-checking and "doc wala pa ba talaga" questioning before finally seeing our little one the morning after at 5:55AM.
This year, I am definitely, solidly, officially, proudly a mom on mother's day. Everyday I thank God for this blessing…

Suuuuuungka!

Who knows how to play Sungka?

What's Sungka you may be thinking? Well, let's allow good old Wiki to define it for us...

Congkak (pronounced [tʃoŋkaʔ]) is a mancala game played in the island of Borneo, Singapore, and Peninsular Malaysia. Minor variants are known as Tchonka, Naranj, Dakon or Sungka and are played in Indonesia (mostly Java), Sri Lanka, the Maldives, southern Thailand, the Philippines and the Marianas. In Indonesia, it is called "Congklak" meaning cowrie shells, which are often used as pieces. On the island of Java, it is called "Dakon" and little red seeds are used as pieces. In the Philippines it is called "Sungka" and shells are used as pieces. Congkak is believed to originate from the word ‘congak’ which in old Malay Language means count.
When we were in Boracay last April, this game was played during our free time. I love playing it! Especially if my opponent's Arvic because I pretty much win all the time. Haha! Kidding aside, I…

Hoyohoy Villas

I didn't know what to expect on our summer trip to Bantayan. I was in Cebu with my family just a couple of weeks before our Bantayan trip so I knew what to do when we arrived at Cebu, and that is to look for our shuttle that'll bring us to the pier so that we can go on a ferry boat to Bantayan Island. What I wasn't ready for was the long shuttle ride. It took us, 1.5-2 hours of roadtrip until we got to the pier and another 1.5-2 hours on boat.

Tired from traveling, we were just really ready to get to the hotel/resort to freshen up. . We were welcomed by colorful pedicabs when we arrived. Manong told us they were our ride to Hoyohoy Villas.

I'm happy the place didn't disappoint us

We were given complimentary refreshments right away...

Our villas...

Exploring the resort..

I really liked the place... the fun was just about to start. :)
