Nuevaaaaa! Fiestaaaaa!

Okay... I'm not yet over the "mourning", but I don't really have a choice but to get it all over and done with. Oh well... moving on.. ;P

The weekend was grrrrreat! Happy people, events here and there. It was our little town's fiesta last week. It all started with a parade. Which I didn't get to see because I was still very sleepy. So, no pictures of that. Sorry! :(

People were up as early as 6AM to ready up the balloons and cars to be used. One of our cars was part of the event. I got to take a pic of it when it was about to leave our house..

Was awake and all geared up at around 9AM and went right away to the town proper to see the rides. And just as expected... there were a number of really colorful rides. But it was too early so the rides were still empty.

One event we just can't miss was my nephew's Taekwando tournament which we actually watched almost half the day. 1st elimination part was in the morning, the 2nd elimination was after lunch.

He actually won a silver medal.. "CONGRATS ANDY!!!" :) Little kids acting like action stars, high and low kicks here and there, really amusing. So0o0o0 cute! What I found nice in this tournament is that eventhough they were all very serious about the tournament, no one actually threw a tantrum after losing. They congratulated each other and were excited for the winners. I guess it comes with the discipline they learn thru their Taekwando trainings. Really good sportsmanship. Two thumbs up! :) Children should have more activities like this.

There were a number dance performances from the kids...

and also from parents, but I wasn't able to take a pic of that. They were all very happy that they got the chance to perform. :)

Had mass in the afternoon and went around the "peryas and wagwagans" after mass. Wasn't able to take a pic of it because I was warned that my camera might be snatched from me. In the middle of all the festivities people still get the chance to steal. Not nice at all! Tsktsktsk..

Just like any other fiesta, it was a festive one. People from other towns came over to join in the celebration too. All in all, it felt great to be "home" and be among genuinely happy people. Can't wait to be back home again.. :)

CARPE DIEM!
I'm out.

PERYA!!!!

I miss going to fiestas. Alam mo naman dito sa Kamaynilaan, hindi na uso ang mga fiesta na tulad ng ganyan. Onga, bakit walang photos ng food? Hindi kumpleto ang fiesta kapag walang handa. :-)

Ba-Bye Ate

Today was quite a sad day for our family. For a very close-knit family, goodbyes are really extra difficult to say . Especially if the one leaving will be miles and seas away. My Ate (with her husband) left this morning for the US. They'll be starting their new life there. She already has work so I don't need to worry about that anyway, and I'm sure that she'll definitely do well. My parents were really sad... maybe it's the thought of being "away" from her. Tipong you have to hop on a plane pa just to be able to get to her. The whole family has US visa naman , we can go there anytime (as long as we have the money I guess :p) Yes, I cried a lot as well... and I guess it's because of all the bilins I got from her. The one that stuck the most " Ikaw na bahala dito ha.. Alagaan mo sila Mama and Papa. Si Ivan ha... Wag mo silang pabayaan. " My nephew on the other hand was a different story... he was eager to go home already when we got to NAIA.

Chuper Excited!

2 weeks to go.. then I'll be painting HongKong and Macau red with my Sanity Keepers... Any suggestions on where to go to? Beside from the usual night market, HK Disneyland and Ocean Park. Any cheap foodtrip areas? Plus, it's Arvic's first time in HongKong too. So I'm extra excited for him too. Let the countdown begin!I am sooooo excited already! :) My bday's coming up in more or less 2 weeks also. Yey! Turning 25 and excited about it! :D Planning to spend the weekend before my actual bday with the whole family somewhere. Let's see... :) ======= Yesterday, had a massage at TonTon's again. I loved it! Just what I needed. I love that place.. Not too crowded. And not too expensive too! :) ======= Work starts again tomorrow. Oh well.... positive side? At least I'll have enough moolah to enjoy HongKong. Thank you work! :P CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

What a Creepy Idea

While we were on our way to the Esplanade, we passed by one long hallway that had several 'artwork' on them. From afar we thought they were paintings, but as we went closer, we saw that they were actually pictures. I asked my friend Aimee if she had any idea who they were, then as we walked some more and saw more pictures, we then realized that they were pictures of.... People sentenced with 'Death by Lethal Injection' and their Last Meals.... =\ There was even one picture that says that the man refused his last meal and requested for a piece of paper and wrote "I want Justice" instead. How eerie is that?!.... I wonder why they had such an idea... I'm out.
