HK Day 2 : Trams, Colors and Heights

We were finally there... The Peak!

First stop... the Tram of course.. Up up up we went. :)

When we got to the actual "peak", the first thing I noticed when we entered the store was how colorful everything seems to be.

The designs/paintings on the walls...

Colorful bracelets...

Colorful shoes...

And really neat and colorful hats..

We found really neat Buddha figurines too. I was afraid to touch and break them.

And guess what.. we found Bruce Lee (again!)

After all the picture posing again, we all realized we were really hungry already. So we scanned available restos.. and guess where we ended up...

We were frowning because we were really hungry already. =P Haha! What I love about Bubba Gump HongKong is that their staff were really cool and the diversity of the staff's lineage is amazing. We were ushered in by Chinese waitresses, orders where taken by an Indian waiter, survey form was given by a Pinoy waiter and the manager is American (I think). Really neat! Plus.. food serving was big. We were really full halfway through the meal. We should have splitted our orders into 2.

After lunch.. off we went to the Sky Terrace.

To savor the view...

It was foggy at first.. as seen in the picture above. But then it was past noon already so I guess that's why the weather cleared up and just like that.. it was sunny again. :)

CARPE DIEM!
I'm out.

I was a little scared while riding the tram because of my heights phobia. =) Before moving to Sky Terrace, I did the shopping part first. Haha. I bought a red Chinese bag and notebook (medyo terno sila) and keychains. When we were in Manila na and looking at the pix I realized that I should have bought at least a pair of those cute shoes.

We went there night time. The city lights were so alive then. http://witsandnuts.com/2009/02/16/where-the-city-lights-and-wind-are-alive/

Ba-Bye Ate

Today was quite a sad day for our family. For a very close-knit family, goodbyes are really extra difficult to say . Especially if the one leaving will be miles and seas away. My Ate (with her husband) left this morning for the US. They'll be starting their new life there. She already has work so I don't need to worry about that anyway, and I'm sure that she'll definitely do well. My parents were really sad... maybe it's the thought of being "away" from her. Tipong you have to hop on a plane pa just to be able to get to her. The whole family has US visa naman , we can go there anytime (as long as we have the money I guess :p) Yes, I cried a lot as well... and I guess it's because of all the bilins I got from her. The one that stuck the most " Ikaw na bahala dito ha.. Alagaan mo sila Mama and Papa. Si Ivan ha... Wag mo silang pabayaan. " My nephew on the other hand was a different story... he was eager to go home already when we got to NAIA.

Chuper Excited!

2 weeks to go.. then I'll be painting HongKong and Macau red with my Sanity Keepers... Any suggestions on where to go to? Beside from the usual night market, HK Disneyland and Ocean Park. Any cheap foodtrip areas? Plus, it's Arvic's first time in HongKong too. So I'm extra excited for him too. Let the countdown begin!I am sooooo excited already! :) My bday's coming up in more or less 2 weeks also. Yey! Turning 25 and excited about it! :D Planning to spend the weekend before my actual bday with the whole family somewhere. Let's see... :) ======= Yesterday, had a massage at TonTon's again. I loved it! Just what I needed. I love that place.. Not too crowded. And not too expensive too! :) ======= Work starts again tomorrow. Oh well.... positive side? At least I'll have enough moolah to enjoy HongKong. Thank you work! :P CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Shoot that Target

With all the recent carnapping and non-stop news reports about different types of crimes happening left and right, it's really starting to get scary to live here. But don't get me wrong, I still love Pinas. But we all really should start doing something about this. Be vigilant people. Be alert. Keep safe. With that thought (being alert etc etc) I remember a recent bonding activity I had with my brother and Papa over the holidays. I have a feeling what we did is a pretty unique activity to do on Christmas morning. Guess what we did??? Target shooting! My Papa is a gun-club member for the last 2-3 years, I even had been attending several gunshows for the past years with him. He's an officer of the gunclub of our town in N. Ecija. He's in the process of putting up his own target-shooting range at the back of our house. And that's where we were this past Christmas morning. On our way to the back part of the house. Unfinished target-shooting spot... The bul
