HK Day 2 : Walk in the Park

Day 2...

Itinerary for the day was to go to Victoria's Peak then Ocean Park after.

According to good old wiki ->
Victoria Peak (traditional Chinese: 太平山, or previously- 扯旗山) is a mountain in Hong Kong. It is also known as Mount Austin, and locally as The Peak. The mountain is located in the western half of Hong Kong Island. With an altitude of 552 m (1,810 ft), it is the highest mountain on the island proper, but not in the entirety of Hong Kong

We started the day early and the group (together with Kai's Ninang) opted to take a leisurely (leisurely nga ba? :P) walk on our way there.

We got to pass by HongKong Park, where people were jogging, strolling and just taking their time sitting at the really nice benches. Such a different sight to see when you're in HongKong coz everything seems to be really fast-paced there.

And I love love the colorful flowers and really neat set-up.

I could spend the rest of the morning there just emoting.. Haha! :P One more thing I loved about our walk is that I got to appreciate the different building structures HongKong has. Lookie, my favorite buildings are those two transformer-looking ones ->

I love it that I the streets were clear and clean. We definitely don't see much of that here in Manila. Then finally... we made it to The Peak.

Welcome to the Peak! [to be continued...] =)

CARPE DIEM!
I'm out.

HK has very impressive buildings. After our visit to The Peak, we went around that night to Central area and took photos of the buildings. Especially prettier at night.

Ba-Bye Ate

Today was quite a sad day for our family. For a very close-knit family, goodbyes are really extra difficult to say . Especially if the one leaving will be miles and seas away. My Ate (with her husband) left this morning for the US. They'll be starting their new life there. She already has work so I don't need to worry about that anyway, and I'm sure that she'll definitely do well. My parents were really sad... maybe it's the thought of being "away" from her. Tipong you have to hop on a plane pa just to be able to get to her. The whole family has US visa naman , we can go there anytime (as long as we have the money I guess :p) Yes, I cried a lot as well... and I guess it's because of all the bilins I got from her. The one that stuck the most " Ikaw na bahala dito ha.. Alagaan mo sila Mama and Papa. Si Ivan ha... Wag mo silang pabayaan. " My nephew on the other hand was a different story... he was eager to go home already when we got to NAIA.

Chuper Excited!

2 weeks to go.. then I'll be painting HongKong and Macau red with my Sanity Keepers... Any suggestions on where to go to? Beside from the usual night market, HK Disneyland and Ocean Park. Any cheap foodtrip areas? Plus, it's Arvic's first time in HongKong too. So I'm extra excited for him too. Let the countdown begin!I am sooooo excited already! :) My bday's coming up in more or less 2 weeks also. Yey! Turning 25 and excited about it! :D Planning to spend the weekend before my actual bday with the whole family somewhere. Let's see... :) ======= Yesterday, had a massage at TonTon's again. I loved it! Just what I needed. I love that place.. Not too crowded. And not too expensive too! :) ======= Work starts again tomorrow. Oh well.... positive side? At least I'll have enough moolah to enjoy HongKong. Thank you work! :P CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Shoot that Target

With all the recent carnapping and non-stop news reports about different types of crimes happening left and right, it's really starting to get scary to live here. But don't get me wrong, I still love Pinas. But we all really should start doing something about this. Be vigilant people. Be alert. Keep safe. With that thought (being alert etc etc) I remember a recent bonding activity I had with my brother and Papa over the holidays. I have a feeling what we did is a pretty unique activity to do on Christmas morning. Guess what we did??? Target shooting! My Papa is a gun-club member for the last 2-3 years, I even had been attending several gunshows for the past years with him. He's an officer of the gunclub of our town in N. Ecija. He's in the process of putting up his own target-shooting range at the back of our house. And that's where we were this past Christmas morning. On our way to the back part of the house. Unfinished target-shooting spot... The bul
