HK Day 1 : Avenue of Stars and Symphony of Lights

The evening of Day 1 was spent watching the Symphony of Lights, walking at the Avenue of Stars to look for our favorite Chinese artists and eating cuttlefish. :)

The light show was really neat! Nice nice colors. Sobrang ang dilim pala tlaga dito sa Manila. Tsktsk....

Anyways, we found them!!!

I found Bruce Lee..

Arvic found Jackie Chan...

I found my own Jackie too.... Haha!

And of course, my favorite! Jet Li!!!! We almost didn't find him because a stall almost covered his name up already. Tsktsk. They really should move that stall.

Walked some more and was ready to go home already.. then.. we found Bruce Lee again.

We were really hungry already because of too much walking. Then there was a stall selling cuttlefish and it really smelled delicious so we bought ourselves some..

It was good when it was still hot.. but then turned out rubbery when it started to get cold already. Good thing I just shared 1 order with Arvic. I made him eat up my share. Hehe.

That ends day 1. :) The following days' adventures will be posted sooooon. Promise!

I got addicted to Korean Squid. I didn't notice the cuttlefish vendor that night. Maybe I was too busy taking photos after the Symphony of Lights. Lol.

@witsandnuts - ooooh.. looks the same! :) The one we bought was hot from the pan (or that metal thing). Hehe. It was really delicious at first, plus the smell was enticing. :D

Ba-Bye Ate

Today was quite a sad day for our family. For a very close-knit family, goodbyes are really extra difficult to say . Especially if the one leaving will be miles and seas away. My Ate (with her husband) left this morning for the US. They'll be starting their new life there. She already has work so I don't need to worry about that anyway, and I'm sure that she'll definitely do well. My parents were really sad... maybe it's the thought of being "away" from her. Tipong you have to hop on a plane pa just to be able to get to her. The whole family has US visa naman , we can go there anytime (as long as we have the money I guess :p) Yes, I cried a lot as well... and I guess it's because of all the bilins I got from her. The one that stuck the most " Ikaw na bahala dito ha.. Alagaan mo sila Mama and Papa. Si Ivan ha... Wag mo silang pabayaan. " My nephew on the other hand was a different story... he was eager to go home already when we got to NAIA.

Chuper Excited!

2 weeks to go.. then I'll be painting HongKong and Macau red with my Sanity Keepers... Any suggestions on where to go to? Beside from the usual night market, HK Disneyland and Ocean Park. Any cheap foodtrip areas? Plus, it's Arvic's first time in HongKong too. So I'm extra excited for him too. Let the countdown begin!I am sooooo excited already! :) My bday's coming up in more or less 2 weeks also. Yey! Turning 25 and excited about it! :D Planning to spend the weekend before my actual bday with the whole family somewhere. Let's see... :) ======= Yesterday, had a massage at TonTon's again. I loved it! Just what I needed. I love that place.. Not too crowded. And not too expensive too! :) ======= Work starts again tomorrow. Oh well.... positive side? At least I'll have enough moolah to enjoy HongKong. Thank you work! :P CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Shoot that Target

With all the recent carnapping and non-stop news reports about different types of crimes happening left and right, it's really starting to get scary to live here. But don't get me wrong, I still love Pinas. But we all really should start doing something about this. Be vigilant people. Be alert. Keep safe. With that thought (being alert etc etc) I remember a recent bonding activity I had with my brother and Papa over the holidays. I have a feeling what we did is a pretty unique activity to do on Christmas morning. Guess what we did??? Target shooting! My Papa is a gun-club member for the last 2-3 years, I even had been attending several gunshows for the past years with him. He's an officer of the gunclub of our town in N. Ecija.
