I'm back?

I miss blogging.... there, I said it. I have tons of photo backlogs from my recent Singapore trip with friends, got home a few days ago then voila, yesterday we were in San Francisco and now I'm blogging away at 6am in the morning here at San Jose. Whattaweek it was!

I was checking on my friends' blog posts and decided that I won't be blogging until the whole vacation engrande is over then I saw that my boyfriend has more blogposts than me for the past 3 weeks so I felt guilty. I'll try to blog more often (keyword: TRY) as soon as I get the time and the free net connection. =)

Anyway I hope everybody's doing fine. Here's a sneak peek of us warm-blooded folks trying to smile in cold and breezy Golden Gate Bridge view deck.

Us with the 'Lone Sailor', he sure looks sad.

Keep you posted! :)

CARPE DIEM!

do you get to visit your sister?

yes, it's cold in SFO kahit summer. weather daw is cold throughout the year. pag winter daw, its less cold there than in other parts of the US, pero pag summer, mas malamig. grabe ano? first time ko hindi kinaya ang lamig. bay area kasi, malamig na, may hangin pa!

enjoy your vacation! and please do post more often!

Hoyohoy Villas

I didn't know what to expect on our summer trip to Bantayan. I was in Cebu with my family just a couple of weeks before our Bantayan trip so I knew what to do when we arrived at Cebu, and that is to look for our shuttle that'll bring us to the pier so that we can go on a ferry boat to Bantayan Island. What I wasn't ready for was the long shuttle ride. It took us, 1.5-2 hours of roadtrip until we got to the pier and another 1.5-2 hours on boat.

Tired from traveling, we were just really ready to get to the hotel/resort to freshen up. . We were welcomed by colorful pedicabs when we arrived. Manong told us they were our ride to Hoyohoy Villas.

I'm happy the place didn't disappoint us

We were given complimentary refreshments right away...

Our villas...

Exploring the resort..

I really liked the place... the fun was just about to start. :)

Mother's Day 2017

This time last year, I was celebrating this special day for mothers with our little munchkin still inside my tummy.  I felt I had the right to co-celebrate with all amazing moms (and dad-moms, lolo/lola-moms, sibling-moms etc) of the world because technically I'm a mom already. Little did I know that being a mom is far from what I imagined it to be. Spoiler: IT'S WAY BETTER! :)
After giving birth, I was exhausted. Happy, relieved, and just plain exhausted. It was a grueling almost 24 hours of "labor". I was brought to the hospital around 6AM on the 27th, hoping that I will give birth a couple of hours later so I was pretty sure our little boy's birthday will be July 27. It took me a whole day of waiting, monitoring, cm-checking and "doc wala pa ba talaga" questioning before finally seeing our little one the morning after at 5:55AM.
This year, I am definitely, solidly, officially, proudly a mom on mother's day. Everyday I thank God for this blessing…

Ba-Bye Ate

Today was quite a sad day for our family. For a very close-knit family, goodbyes are really extra difficult to say . Especially if the one leaving will be miles and seas away.

My Ate (with her husband) left this morning for the US. They'll be starting their new life there. She already has work so I don't need to worry about that anyway, and I'm sure that she'll definitely do well. My parents were really sad... maybe it's the thought of being "away" from her. Tipong you have to hop on a plane pa just to be able to get to her. The whole family has US visa naman, we can go there anytime (as long as we have the money I guess :p)

Yes, I cried a lot as well... and I guess it's because of all the bilins I got from her. The one that stuck the most "Ikaw na bahala dito ha.. Alagaan mo sila Mama and Papa. Si Ivan ha... Wag mo silang pabayaan." My nephew on the other hand was a different story... he was eager to go home already when we got to NAIA. Haha!…
