Little Miss Wanderlust

We celebrated by brother's and my Papa's birthday over the weekend, so it was a weekend feast! Cousins and relatives came over last night for dinner and we had some sort of trial pictorial for tonight's Christmas Eve get-together. :) It was fun fun fun! I'm glad everybody was game. The latest addition to our growing family. :) Meet Liway.. named after my grandmother Liwayway because they share the same birthday. :) There are still talks of changing her name to Yawyaw just so it'll be "updated". She's a 3-week old Maltese puppy (the pic was taken when she was just 2 weeks old). She does nothing but eat and sleep. She's soooooo cute! It's nice how a dog's maternal instinct automatically kicks in after giving birth, Peachy (Liway's mom) really knew what to do right away. What a sight to see. :) We'll take good care of you puppy.. Okay... I'm not yet over the "mourning", but I don't really have a choice but to get it all over and done with. Oh well... moving on.. ;P The weekend was grrrrreat! Happy people, events here and there. It was our little town's fiesta last week. It all started with a parade. Which I didn't get to see because I was still very sleepy. So, no pictures of that. Sorry! :( People were up as early as 6AM to ready up the balloons and cars to be used. One of our cars was part of the event. I got to take a pic of it when it was about to leave our house.. Was awake and all geared up at around 9AM and went right away to the town proper to see the rides. And just as expected... there were a number of really colorful rides. But it was too early so the rides were still empty. One event we just can't miss was my nephew's Taekwando tournament which we actually watched almost half the day. 1st elimination part was in the morning, the 2nd elimination was after lunch. He ...

I am a sad sad sad girl because my super short vacation ends today. :'( Goodbye fresh air, goodbye home-cooked meals, goodbye doggies, goodbye nightly scrabbles. goodbye town fiesta.... I'm glad I'll be going home to Nueva Ecija this weekend to join the town's "Fiestaaaa" and be part of the festivities. :) Family bonding too!
