Sugar Beach

While we were in Bantayan, it was a trip from one beach to another.. After a relaxing and enjoyable day spent at Virgin Beach/Island, we were given a chance to spend the next afternoon at Sugar Beach. To get to this beach, you won't really need a boat, you just need to travel by land via tricycle, pedicab or multicab. :) We opted for the multicab... And voila... Welcome to Sugar Beach. The beach was really nice and clear. The sand was just like that of Bohol. Not as powdery as Bora but it was close. :) What I do not like about Sugar Beach is the lack of places or stalls to buy food and drinks. There was none by the beach.. well at least at the shore we chose to camp on. There are lots of cabanas for rent but are too small in my opinion. Most of the people who stayed in the cabanas brought their own food. Maybe next time we should do the same. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Just a little more patience...

...and I shall be reunited with you my free time... :) Next stops: ... Mt. Province for Holy Week. ...Bantayan for some summer fun. Excited already!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Cousins and relatives came over last night for dinner and we had some sort of trial pictorial for tonight's Christmas Eve get-together. :) It was fun fun fun! I'm glad everybody was game. Here's us wishing all of you a MERRY MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS! :) In our belen... With our big Christmas Tree... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! Happy Birthday Jesus! :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

ROAR! RAWR!

I have been going to Baguio ever since I was a kid. But this was the first time that we stopped and took pictures with the famous Lion at Kennon road. :) It's another first time for me. Thank you guys.. :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out!

If only money wasn't an issue...

...I'll be back in HK for some foodtripping, a lot of shopping and more picture-taking... as in NOW! =p I miss miss miss the place already. The malls, the food (yes, even the fastfood), the feel of being on vacation.... I shall plan for my next (budget) trip ASAP. The temptation of wanderlust is way too strong again. CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

Boracay '09 : R & R

Long overdue Bora post. :P Before Summer actually ends.. I just felt that I should get my Bora series of posts over and done with.:) It was my second time in Boracay... and I can honestly say that this was the first time that I actually enjoyed the beach and the sand. :) My first trip there was last year and the itinerary for the whole stay was planned already, so it was mostly activities like ATV, island hopping, snorkeling. This year, it was mostly swimming and sitting around. Complete relaxation. :) The whole group stayed at SUR. A really neat resort located in Station 1. A white building, pretty and cozy huts, nice view and a really nice beach front... *Sigh*.. Take me back? I suddenly miss the sun, sand and free time. CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

On a Natural High

I've been to a lot of places already.. but these two places really were something.. put me on a natural high. :) Mt. Data Hotel. It is situated in Sinto, Bauko, Mt. Province at an elevation of 7200 ft. above sea level. So naturally, it was breezy and cool. Pine trees and blossoming flowers surround the area and you'll also see terraces slopes planted with vegetables. What this hotel offers is seclusion, calmness, and fresh mountain air. Definitely a nice getaway spot. :) We didn't stay there though, we just passed-by on our way home because an Aunt of mine actually manages it. :) Another 'high' point of our trip home was that I finally was able to take pics on the highest point of the Philippine Highway System. Elevation - 7400 ft. above sea level. Higher higher higher... :) CARPE DIEM! I'm out.

The Bontoc Museum

I've been going home to Bontoc, Mountain Province for years already and most of the time we go there during Holy Week. I've always wanted to visit the Bontoc Museum but I end up not visiting it again and again because they're closed during Holy Week. So imagine my amazement and (hidden) excitement when I FINALLY got the chance to visit it. Arvic was with me too so it made it extra fun of course. Another first for both of us. :) Yay! Welcome to.... The Bontoc Musuem! Entrance fee costs P50.00 only. The musuem has two parts.. the inside musuem and the outside one. Picture taking in the 'inside museum' is not allowed. There you'll be taken back in time with glimpses of the early days of the tribes from Sagada, Ifugao and Bontoc. :) Yes.. there are even pictures of the headhunting days. There are lots of photos of the tribes before and after the colonization. Really interesting. :) So off we go to the outside musuem. Here, there are actual Nipa huts wherein you can ...
