Let The Countdown Begin

I was asking a lot of people if I really need to create our very own wedding blog. I planned to open one initially but then laziness won. So I shall continue to update you here in my good OLD blog and hope that I'll be able to update this blog as often as I can. :)

So... we got engaged last March 17. My birthday. As what we have been doing for the past years, when the celebrant can't think of anything to do or a place to go to on his/her birthday, the other one is required to plan for it. So that's exactly what happened on my birthday this year. My plan was to have lunch with my family - we had a hearty celebration at Dad's/Kamayan/Saisaki - then dinner plans was made by Arvic and me being my spoiled self wanted a surprise celebration. My only request... Surprise me with a new place. :)

He brought me here.... He said he wanted to have dinner on a Cruise and so we did just that. I was happy he managed to plan this out.. impressive!

Dinner was just okay --- a piece of chicken, sauteed veggies, and some fruits for dessert. But we were there for the view and the experience. There were only a number of people aboard and most of them were of different nationality. The cruise passed by Mall of Asia, Solaire etc. There was an acoustic musician onboard playing old love songs. I wanted to request for one but we were close to ending the cruise already and then this...

Arvic told me he had one more surprise, it was a gift. He gave me a piece of ribbon to pull on and as I pull on it, it had a message on it..

He TRIED to get down on one knee but we were both scared that since the winds were a bit hard that time, he might lose the ring. So what happened??? He handed me the ring under the table. HAHAHAHAHA! Did I cry? I was close to crying but then we both looked so silly trying to look at the ring under the table that we just ended up laughing instead. :)) Spent the rest of the cruise asking questions as to when/how he planned all of this and who knew about it.

It was the perfect proposal/engagement for us. "Away" from the buzz of the city, a view of the sunset and the city lights, music playing, and just the two of us. BEST.BIRTHDAY.GIFT.EVER! Thank you my Dear :)

Now let the countdown to our wedding day begin. ;)

CARPE DIEM!
I'm out.
